The weather held and the Street Party was a huge success. Fun for all the family with an Exhibition in the Village Hall, Duck Race, Tug-of-War, Falcon Display, Morris Dancing and music. How better to spend a Bank Holiday Monday?
The Village
A La Ronde
This National Trust property is only a short drive from East Budleigh and sited on the outskirts of Exmouth. It is one of the smaller properties, but interesting. Do not fail to climb to the top of the house to see the Shell room. You can see a little of it reflected in a mirror on the ground floor, but the effort of the climb is well worth while. The ladies who built the house after their wonderings around the World must have been quite some characters.
There is a small tea rooms and A La Ronde is a very useful place to visit if you have a couple of hours to fill.
One of the many cats!
The Point in View Chapel also built by the Parminter Sisters.
